Hang Gliding is freshly introduced new Air Sports Activity in Nepal. Circling up to cloud base and setting course on a long cross-country flight over patchwork fields is one of the wonders of the modern world & thus this activity captures your sense of adventure surrounded by the beautiful mountains while gliding through the sky with a light breeze of Himalayan air.
Hang glider pilots can be launched from hills facing into wind winches on flat ground or by being towed aloft from an airfield behind an Ultra light aircraft. The whole adventure will be photographed and recorded by our special camera attached to the glider so you can share this great experience with your friends and relatives back at home. The objective is always to stay airborne in lifting currents of air and – for many – to undertake long cross country flights. The subtropical climate condition in Nepali sky has plenty of necessary thermals which make it an ideal space for hang gliding.
The main advantage of flying hang gliders is their higher speed range, allowing you to fly in slightly stronger winds. You and your pilot- instructor will glide free and silent in complete awe of spectacular view of countryside. The most popular months are November, December and January, because of the super consistent weather during this time. And lastly while you start landing after a long flight using only the natural power of the atmosphere and your accumulated knowledge of the sky gives a hang glider pilot an unsurpassed feeling of accomplishment. Join Himalayan Trekking Alliance now and enjoy this thrilling ride up through the skies of the Himalayan nation.
